Abstract
Indonesia is an agricultural country because most of Indonesian people
work as a farmer. There are many natural resources that can fill full all of
human wants. Indonesia has many biodiversity. It’s the most in the world after
Brazil. As a tropical area, Indonesian just has two season. Dry season and
raining season. It caused Indonesia has more time to plant. It’s very good
opportunity for the farmer to work at their field. Most of Indonesian farmer
are use to traditional method. It was good in the past, but it will be bad in
the future because of the new era. AFTA is one of the new challenge for
Indonesian farmer.
AFTA is a good opportunity for Indonesian farmer to offer their
production in other country. The farmer will get a new market. But AFTA also
gives a big problem for Indonesian farmer. Especially for Indonesian farmer who
doesn’t know about international free trade. Indonesian farmer will lose their
market if they can’t increase their production quality. So, they need goverment
policy to help their prosperity.
Smart Agriculture Program (SAP 15) is a program offering the soution to
help the traditional Indonesian farmer in facing AFTA 2015. SAP 15 is arranged
in according with the farmer needs in the future. There are three steps that
able to be developed. First, making
a training syllabus to educate the farmer. The syllabus accord to the farmer
basic potential and superiority area. Second, making before-after harvest time management system. Third,
developing the market. Market is the
most important to be focused.
